About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer & Director of Sponsored Programs to provide strategic leadership for a diverse portfolio of sponsored research, advanced computing initiatives, industry collaborations, and research innovation efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial strategy, sponsored research administration, contract management, and business operations. This executive leader will also serve as a key collaborator with university leadership, researchers, federal agencies, and industry partners. The role requires a professional with a minimum of 10 years' progressive work experience in financial analysis, strategy, and business management, and a proven track record of managing multimillion-dollar budgets with multiple funding sources. Applicants for the CFO/Director position at the company should possess expert knowledge of financial policies, practices, and systems, as well as advanced working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles. Experience in contract and grant administration, particularly in the context of pre- and post-award fund management, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in intellectual property and tech transfer contract management and a strong understanding of the unique financial operations of higher education and research environments. The role demands exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to lead teams, resolve complex problems, and drive operational excellence. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is required, with a Master's degree being preferred.
