Litigation Paralegal

Litigation ParalegalMcMichael Taylor Gray, LLC is currently seeking a Litigation Paralegal for our Peachtree Corners, GA office. This is an IN-OFFICE position. The Litigation Paralegal reports to the Litigation Manager and is responsible for the coordination of all the details before, during and after trial. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance to Attorneys and Management during all phases of the litigation process including legal research, drafting and filing pleadings, and calendaring hearings.Responsibilities:Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessmentsDraft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and file them with the courtPerform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc.)Maintain pleadings and discovery indexesOrganize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendicesAid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requestsGather relevant information from a variety of sourcesLiaise between trial teams and internal/external third partiesProvide assistance with case settlementsSkills and Abilities:Working knowledge of Default Operations industry standards including creditors' rightsA minimum of 5 years Litigation Paralegal experience requiredApplicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc.Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detailExtensive computer and database expertise including proficiency with Microsoft productsParalegal associates degree or other relevant certificationAbility to maintain confidentiality in a professional mannerExcellent professional communication skills. Position requires interaction with all interoffice personnel, managers and attorneys as well as the clients and outside vendors.Proficient with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Teams, and MS WordWell organized, effective time management, prioritize and allocate workload for optimum efficiencyAbility to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and qualityWorking knowledge of client systems including Black Knight/LPS, Tempo, CaseAwareSalary commensurate with experience.
