Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide compassionate patient care within a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and the ability to adapt to various department needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to Medical Surgical patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including telemetry data when applicable.
• Document patient progress accurately using Epic electronic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Float across departments as needed, providing assistance and maintaining care standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active TX State or Compact Nursing license.
• Possess at least 1 year of relevant Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically Epic.
• Ability to work night shifts, including 3x12 or 4x12 schedules.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
