Description
- Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational strategies.
- Craft tailored treatment programs that cater to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
- Engage with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to formulate unified care plans.
- Provide education and resources to patients and their families to foster progress outside the clinical environment.
- Support the provision of occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain a seamless continuum of care.
- Ensure comprehensive and timely documentation in compliance with all applicable state, federal, and organization standards.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and peer collaboration.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all demographics, coupled with a strong understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills, fostering collaboration with patients, families, and various healthcare team members.
- Adept at modifying therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong analytical skills and sound clinical judgment.
