Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational strategies.
• Craft tailored treatment programs that cater to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to formulate unified care plans.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families to foster progress outside the clinical environment.
• Support the provision of occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain a seamless continuum of care.
• Ensure comprehensive and timely documentation in compliance with all applicable state, federal, and organization standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire.
