Assistant Accountant

Job Title: Accountant Assistant IV

Location: Bellevue WA(Hybrid)

Duration: 6+ months contract (possible extension)

Pay: $31.50/.hr on W2

Technology Requirements (I.E Programs, systems, etc): Excel (preferred), GEN AI (preferred), Accounts Payment or invoice management systems.

Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience required

What does a typical day look like? (daily tasks) Audit and review legal invoices to ensure compliance with billing guidelines. Documentation, communication, and resolving invoice issues.

Preferred background/prior work experience? Auditing, research, analytics

Priority soft skills : Strong communicator, attention to detail, proactive

This role is responsible for reviewing, auditing, researching, and coding legal invoices to ensure compliance with outside counsel billing guidelines and internal invoicing requirements. The contractor will analyze law firm invoices, identify billing discrepancies, and document findings for resolution.

The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal business partners and law firm billing contacts to resolve invoice-related issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications include experience working with accounts payable or invoice management systems, as well as intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience utilizing AI-enabled tools to support invoice review and audit processes is preferred.
