HR Data Analyst

Responsibilities HR Data Analyst: transform workforce data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization; proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities within HR data; communicate findings to business leaders clearly; support the development and execution of the HR data strategy for data quality, consistency, and accessibility across systems and processes. Data Analysis & Insight Generation: proactively analyze HR data related to talent acquisition, retention, performance, engagement, and workforce planning; build dashboards, reports, and visualizations; partner with HR and functional leaders to deliver insights; conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives. Data Strategy & Governance: support the HR data strategy, including data governance and data quality standards; maintain data integrity across HR systems; collaborate with HRIS, IT, and cross-functional teams to align data definitions, structures, and reporting standards; contribute to the roadmap for HR analytics capabilities. Reporting & Communication: deliver recurring HR reports and dashboards; present insights and recommendations to HR leadership and stakeholders; create user-friendly reporting tools and guides for HR teams. Collaboration & Stakeholder Support: partner with HR teams to understand data needs and provide analytical support for programs such as time and attendance, compensation, talent development, and engagement; serve as a subject matter expert on HR metrics and reporting best practices; support change management for new data tools and analytics capabilities. Travel & PPE: occasional local travel between company facilities (up to 10%); PPE requirements as applicable to the role’s work environment. Qualifications Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Required Education, Certifications, and Licenses: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field. Essential Qualifications: 6+ years’ experience with HR data, HRIS systems, or people analytics. Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights. Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, data visualization). Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and critical thinking with attention to detail. High confidentiality, integrity, and professional judgment with sensitive HR and financial data. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday or similar. Familiarity with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, or workforce analytics. Experience supporting or implementing a data governance or HR data strategy. Knowledge of SQL or other data query languages. Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments.
