Overview
Registered Nurse – GI/Endoscopy (Inpatient) in Potsdam, New York. This travel, temporary assignment begins 06/29/2026 for several weeks in an inpatient GI/endoscopy unit featuring 3 procedure rooms and 9 beds. The typical daily volume is approximately 35 visits. Shift is Monday–Friday, 07:00–15:30. Weekly pay ranges from $2,222 to $2,432 with no guaranteed hours. The role is performed in a hospital setting. Key qualifications include NY RN license in hand, BLS and ACLS, EPIC charting experience, and a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. Traveler candidates accepted; local candidates not eligible per compliance rules. RTO requests are limited to 7 days. Night call (one night every 7–12 days) and some weekend call are required; float to other units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct inpatient nursing care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics undergoing GI/endoscopy procedures
- Assist with colonoscopy and EGD procedures; monitor sedation/analgesia; maintain sterile technique
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure monitoring; document findings and care plans in EPIC
- Manage room turnover for the GI/endoscopy suite and coordinate with the procedure team; assist with instrument handling and supplies
- Monitor patient vitals, safety, and response to sedation; provide discharge instructions and patient education as appropriate

Requirements
- Current New York RN license in hand; ability to submit with application
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience; traveler experience accepted; locals not eligible (must meet distance requirements)
- EPIC charting experience required; prior Epic proficiency is a hard requirement for submission
- Must be able to work in an inpatient GI/endoscopy setting; block scheduling with some weekend call and night call
- Return-to-Office (RTO): maximum 7 days
- Background checks reviewed case-by-case; COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status not specified
