Position: Medical Assistant (Certified or Registered)

Location: Seattle, WA

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 AM - 05:00 PM, Monday - Friday; Weekends Off)

Duration: November 2026 through March 2027, with the possibility of extension. This position is intended to cover a maternity leave.

Qualifications:

Certification: Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) preferred; Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) considered.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient clinic setting is required. Experience in cardiology is mandatory.
Skills:
- Vital Signs: Obtain height/weight, record vital signs, conduct pulse oximetry, and obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG.
- Patient Preparation: Document patient history, medications, and allergies.
- Office Duties: Manage authorization forms, chart preparation, insurance verification, scheduling appointments, pharmacy calls, and stocking supplies.
- Professional Skills: Review lab tests and room patients efficiently.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Microsoft Excel is highly preferred.
Certifications Required: BLS Certification.
License Required: Valid Medical Assistant License.

Additional Information:

No floating between units; position will remain at the same location daily.
This is an in-person position at the clinic.
Strong preference for local candidates, but non-local candidates are also welcome to apply.
Opportunity for permanent employment may arise if a full-time position becomes available at the end of the contract.

Type of Facility: Heart & Vascular Clinic.
Charting System: Experience with EPIC is required.
Daily Patient Census: Approximately 10 patients.

Important Notes:

Must commit to working three of the five holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
Remote Time Off (RTO) requests must be submitted upfront during the application process.
Candidates should not directly contact facility personnel unless for a scheduled interview.
