Cyber Security Consultant

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, security operations, infrastructure security, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience managing enterprise vulnerability remediation programs and working with project delivery teams and enterprise technology stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with Qualys Vulnerability Management and Breach and Attack Simulation (BAS) technologies
• Experience with Microsoft security technologies, including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Azure, and Azure DevOps (ADO)
• Experience with ServiceNow workflow management and reporting, cloud security, and vulnerability management initiatives
• Experience in large enterprise environments with diverse technology ecosystems
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability prioritization methods, risk-based remediation, cybersecurity frameworks, and industry best practices, including NIST
• Ability to produce executive-level metrics, dashboards, and program reports
• Strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical security issues in business-friendly language and influence remediation without direct authority
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
• One or more preferred certifications: CISSP, GIAC Vulnerability Management, GSEC, GMON, CISM, Microsoft Security Certifications, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), or Qualys Certified Specialist certifications
• Preferred experience in utility, critical infrastructure, energy, or industrial organizations; threat-intelligence-driven remediation; security assessments, penetration testing, or audit remediation; and security operations, incident response, or defensive security technologies

• Support our enterprise vulnerability management program by identifying, assessing, prioritizing, reporting, and helping remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities across corporate IT, cloud, and digital environments
• Work with project teams, infrastructure teams, application owners, cybersecurity personnel, and third-party service providers to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed promptly and according to risk
• Translate technical findings into actionable business outcomes while aligning remediation with cybersecurity standards, regulatory obligations, and project delivery timelines
• Engage technical teams, project managers, vendors, and leaders to drive remediation, improve security posture, and provide meaningful program reporting
• Help ensure vulnerabilities are addressed without unnecessarily disrupting business objectives
