Night Shift ER Registered Nurse

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position, working night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated ER Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires a strong background in emergency care, with the ability to manage critical patients and provide high-quality nursing care. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and must be prepared to handle a diverse range of medical situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Room.
• Participate in rapid medical evaluations and critical care needs.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Cerner.
• Support Behavioral Health care in locked units within the Emergency Department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of experience in an ER setting required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Experience with arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and central line care/management preferred.
