Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (CVICU RN) for a night shift position located in Towson, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric postoperative cardiac surgery patients, including those on ECMO, ventilators, and with complex cardiac conditions. The candidate will work a three shifts per week schedule, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, supporting a unit with six beds and a patient census of 3 to 5.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts, 19:00-07:30, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid MD or Compact License, BLS certification, CPI certification, ACLS certification, minimum of 2 years of relevant ICU experience, charting experience with Epic EMR, proficiency with managing ports, arterial lines, ECMO, ventilator, and cardiac monitoring, experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, specific experience with post-cardiac surgery and structural heart procedures such as TAVR, as well as pre/post cardiac cath/interventions.
• Float: Required to MSICU as needed.
• Additional Information: Clinicians must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions. Vaccinations include a flu shot; the COVID-19 vaccine is not required. Candidates need to adhere to compliance requirements, including labs within 72 hours of signing and submitting documentation five days prior to start.
