As a valued member of this dedicated team, you will work with a small, self-contained class of five students, supported by two Teaching Assistants. Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Mississippi K-12 Special Education teaching license required
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and other support staff
• Compassion, adaptability, and a student-centered mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to meet unique learning needs in a self-contained classroom
• Develop and implement IEPs, collaborating with families and team members
• Employ diverse teaching strategies and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Track and report student progress, adapting plans as necessary
• Offer leadership and mentorship to classroom assistants for optimal student support
