Senior Cybersecurity Architect

Salary: $126,376 - 152,195 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline.
• We prefer a masters degree.
• We look for 10+ years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT systems.
• We require at least 7 years of direct experience designing and delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity architectures.
• We need demonstrated leadership in architectural design for major IT security initiatives.
• We seek deep expertise in Zero Trust principles.
• We value experience with cloud security environments such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• We require strong knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST SP 800-53 and related standards.
• We prefer CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or comparable advanced cybersecurity certifications.
• We prefer AWS and/or Microsoft Azure security or architecture certifications.
• We prefer government or highly regulated industry experience.
• We prefer NIST RMF experience.
• We prefer enterprise cloud migration and security architecture experience.
• We value strong written and verbal communication skills.
• We prefer experience presenting technical architecture and cybersecurity recommendations to senior leadership.

• We provide technical leadership in designing and implementing enterprise cybersecurity architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• We support the development and rollout of Zero Trust Architecture roadmaps.
• We provide technical guidance for major information technology security implementation efforts.
• We may ask qualified candidates to participate in an interview.
• We may ask qualified candidates to execute a Letter of Intent confirming willingness to support the program if the contract is awarded.

We are R&S Lowndes Management LLC and are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Architect to support a proposed statewide cybersecurity program in Maryland. This role is contingent upon contract award and the issuance of applicable work orders. We offer a pay range of $126,376.37 to $152,195.19 per year, along with benefits including a 401(k), health insurance, and vision insurance. The work location is in person.
