Project Engineer focused on complex electrical construction and infrastructure

We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer with a strong background in heavy civil and aviation construction to support critical electrical scope at SFO. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and SFO stakeholders to ensure electrical systems (medium/low voltage, lighting, telecommunications, and specialty life-safety systems) are installed efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with stringent aviation regulations

Key Responsibilities


1. Project Management & Administration

• Coordinate electrical construction activities on-site, acting as the liaison between the electrical field, Area Superintendent, and prime client.
• Maintain real-time project logs in airport-provided project management systems
• Oversee and negotiate electrical subcontract packages,
• Manage submittals, equipment procurement, and material requirement tracking.

2. Technical & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure all electrical installations strictly comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local San Francisco codes
• Perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) inspections to ensure work complies with permits, design drawings, and specifications

Safety & Coordination

• Implement and enforce strict aviation and construction safety protocols
• Coordinate electrical, temporary power systems, and facility shutdowns with airport operations and stakeholders to minimize terminal disruption.
