Fee Accounting Consultant

Hiring: Fee Accounting Consultant (Public Housing & Property Accounting) Location: Columbia, MD (Hybrid/Remote as approved) Duration: Contract / On-Call Consulting Services Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records for assigned properties. Map and reconcile financial statements to the Commission's Yardi chart of accounts. Perform monthly financial statement analysis, variance analysis, and delinquency monitoring. Assist with operating budgets, budget revisions, and financial forecasting. Prepare fiscal reports, consolidated financial statements, and year-end financial reports. Complete HUD Financial Data Schedule (FDS) statements and support annual audits. Reconcile payroll taxes and liability allocations using ADP payroll data. Provide internal audit support and attend management and Board meetings as requested. Required Experience Property accounting and financial reporting experience. Experience with Yardi or similar property management accounting systems. Knowledge of HUD financial reporting and public housing accounting requirements. Experience with budgeting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience supporting government, public housing authorities, or affordable housing organizations preferred.
