Patient Access Representative - Urgent Care

Patient Access Representative We are seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative to greet and direct callers and walk-ins, answer phones, relay messages, and escort patients as needed. This role involves setting up appointments, verifying insurance details, collecting payments, assisting with paperwork, and maintaining patient charts. Additionally, the coordinator will complete specialized reports, verify document accuracy, respond to emails, update patient information, manage office supplies, and handle incoming and outgoing mail. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care. Location: SFSH Urgent Care Clinic at 85th Street/Minnesota Ave. Scheduled for less than 60 Hours Per Pay Period. Variable schedules, see below. Monday-Friday. Two 8-hour or 10-hour variable shifts within 7AM-7PM. Weekends-Saturday or Sunday. One 8-hour shift within 8AM-5PM. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred. Experience in Electronic Medical Records [EMR] preferred. Two plus years of related experience preferred, ideally in a clinical setting. Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes preferred. Friends and Family CPR required; can be obtained upon hire.
