This contract position runs from August 27th through November 30th, providing you the chance to make a positive impact while enjoying a flexible part-time schedule—work is required only on Mondays and Thursdays.

In this role, you will provide academic and classroom support primarily within general education settings. Collaborate with educators to foster a welcoming, inclusive space for all students, without the responsibilities of a one-on-one assignment. Your attention and guidance will help empower classrooms, enhance engagement, and support student growth during pivotal middle school years.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous paraprofessional experience required, ideally supporting students in a general education setting
• Completion of state-mandated training (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
• Ability to encourage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds
• Commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in daily instructional activities and classroom management
• Support students' academic engagement, clarifying instructions and providing individual or small group assistance when needed
• Foster an inclusive environment that promotes student participation and success
• Help with classroom organization and materials preparation
• Communicate pertinent student information to the teaching team
