Release Train Engineer

Job Title Release Train Engineer Location Charlotte, NC; New York, NY; Remote; Washington, DC; Pensacola, FL; Addison, TX (Hybrid or Onsite as required) Employment Type Full-time, Contract, Temporary Overview Release Train Engineer (RTE) responsible for coordinating and facilitating Agile Release Trains (ART) within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment across multiple teams and releases. Responsibilities Manage software build execution, release packaging, deployment promotion, release sequencing, rollback preparation, and release coordination activities. Facilitate, coach, and serve as servant leader for one or more Agile Release Trains (ARTs). Coordinate multiple agile teams to deliver value predictably and within SAFe guidelines. Facilitate PI Planning readiness, PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt (I&A) events and other ART events. Coach and mentor scrum masters and teams on Agile processes, Continuous Exploration, and release management. Lead release cycle and planning effort across the train. Coordinate and facilitate all Agile release train activities and maintain program health. Drive continuous improvement of the release pipeline and associated tooling. Qualifications Minimum of 4 years experience as Release Train Engineer within a SAFe environment; additional years of experience may be considered. Strong understanding of PI planning, risk management, product, and business synchronization. Proficiency in DevOps practices and experience with budgeting, finance or related responsibilities. SAFe Agile Certified Practitioner or equivalent certification. Demonstrated ability to lead release cycle and planning efforts, coach scrum masters, and facilitate ART events. Required Skills Strong coaching and facilitation skills. Expertise in release build, packaging, and deployment processes. Ability to manage multi-team coordination and program health.
