Location 200 N Lakemont Ave Winter Park, FL 32792 Schedule & Shift Full time, Night Job Description This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) who will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, educate patients, collaborate with medical staff, maintain documentation, evaluate care effectiveness, ensure infection control compliance, provide emotional support, supervise staff, engage in professional development, and respond to code situations. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising plans. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies. Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families, addressing their emotional and psychological needs. Supervise and delegate care provided by healthcare team members to ensure quality and efficiency. Engage in continuous professional development and participate in performance improvement activities. Respond to code situations promptly and effectively, providing necessary interventions to stabilize patients. Qualifications Organizational and multi‑tasking skills. Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures. Ability to work as a team player within a unit. Effective verbal and oral communication and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of EKG (based on patient; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements). Fluent in English (reading, verbal and written). Basic computer skills – navigate Microsoft Windows‑based programs. High level of abstract reasoning to assess, evaluate, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes. Education Associate's of Nursing (Required). Bachelor's of Nursing (Preferred). Experience 1+ year in an acute care hospital setting (Preferred).
