The Sales & Marketing Specialist supports the Sales and Marketing functions of the Palletizer Division. This position assists in developing and implementing cohesive marketing initiatives, supports direct sales and independent sales representatives, identifies and qualifies prospective customers, and helps maintain consistent Columbia branding across marketing channels and materials.

The ideal candidate is motivated, results-oriented, organized, and capable of effectively supporting both sales and marketing activities in a manufacturing and capital equipment environment.

• Assists with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, trade shows, events, and other appropriate channels.

• Assists the Marketing Manager in developing and maintaining the Palletizer Division's social media presence as part of the overall marketing mix.

• Supports direct sales personnel and independent sales representatives with marketing resources, customer information, and sales-related materials.

• Identifies prospective customers through market research, networking, referrals, digital channels, trade shows, and other lead-generation activities.

• Contacts and qualifies prospective leads and communicates relevant opportunities to the appropriate sales personnel.

• Facilitates the development and distribution of promotional materials and sales collateral to the sales team and independent representatives.

• Assists with sales presentations, proposals, customer communications, and other sales-support activities as needed.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge through industry research, professional development, and participation in relevant educational opportunities.

• Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within the Sales and Marketing functions.

• Works collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and other departments to support company and divisional objectives.

• Maintain Marketing files and folders on the network.

• Work with third party agencies for web and app updates and maintenance.

• Willingness to travel to trade shows for set-up and tear-down.

• Demonstrates flexibility by accepting new assignments and assisting other team members as business needs require.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and/or abilities:

• General knowledge of sales and marketing principles and practices.
• Understanding of digital and social media marketing.
• Knowledge of lead generation, customer relationship management, and sales pipeline processes.
• Understanding of market and competitor research methods.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and capital equipment markets preferred.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Previous professional experience in sales, marketing, business development, or a related field.
• Experience with capital equipment, industrial products, or business-to-business (B2B) sales and marketing preferred.
• Experience supporting direct sales teams and/or independent sales representatives preferred.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, social media platforms, trade shows, email marketing, and digital marketing tools.
