Clinic Nurse (RN, LPN, or MA) Full Time Professional Holton Community Hospital, Holton, KS, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 1184 Full Time 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 4-day work week, Monday – Friday, day off to be determined Job Summary: The Clinic Nurse at Holton Family Medicine plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within a family medicine clinic setting. This position involves assessing patient health, administering treatments, and collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care plans. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patient progress, educating patients and families on health management, and maintaining accurate medical records. By providing compassionate and efficient nursing services, the Clinic Nurse contributes to improved patient outcomes and overall clinic efficiency. This role demands adaptability, clinical expertise, and a commitment to upholding the hospital’s standards of care and patient safety. Assists with primary health care in collaboration with physicians by gathering and recording patient history, vitals, and other pertinent data to coordinate appropriate care. Administers injections, applies splints, dressings, etc., as ordered. Dispenses medication as directed by physicians. Performs various clinical/lab duties and performs other related duties as assigned. Screens and prioritize telephone calls for referral to physicians. Assists with clinic performance improvement activities and assists with orientation of new employees. Performs administrative duties such as communications with office staff regarding patient care, scheduling appointments, and referrals. Maintains timely flow of patients. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies. Participates in professional development activities, attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested and contributes input for the development of departmental policies and procedures. Assumes responsibility and accountability for time management, professional relationships and interpersonal interactions. Maintains and enhances a current level of knowledge relative to professional practice, as well as continuing education requirements necessary for licensure and CPR certification. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited nursing program (diploma, associate, or bachelor’s degree). Must have one of the following current, valid license: Registered Nurse License issued by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Licensed Practical Nurse License issued by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Certified Nurse Aide with minimum of 2 years of experience in clinic setting. Medical Assistant Certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a family medicine clinic or outpatient clinic environment. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems Strong understanding of nursing principles, patient care standards, and medical terminology Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care and cultural competence.
