Interim Director of Nursing (DON)We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Interim Director of Nursing (DON) for a 13-week contract. The role requires a strong leader to oversee acute inpatient and emergency department nursing operations.Shift DetailsSchedule: 4-10 hour days per weekHours: 40 hours per weekWeekend Rotation: Be available as a resource for calls, no weekends requiredHoliday Rotation: NoneFloat Requirements: NoneKey ResponsibilitiesLead and manage nursing staff, including Charge Nurses and Nurse Managers in acute nursing and emergency department areas.Ensure high standards of patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.Supervise nursing operations within a critical access hospital environment.Unit/Department OverviewThis position operates within a 14-bed critical access hospital, with an average daily patient census of 5-6 in the inpatient unit and an emergency department average daily census of 12.
