RN - Behavioral Health

Behavioral Health/Psych RN

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, working 3 shifts of 12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), weekdays, and every other weekend.

The Behavioral Health/Psych RN will provide nursing care to adult patients, focusing on a range of psychiatric disorders, including bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and substance use issues. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to administer medications, and adherence to patient care protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to adults with behavioral health conditions.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and document patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create patient-centered care plans.
• Participate in the development and adherence to seclusion protocols when necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required.
• Current RN license for West Virginia or Compact license acceptable.
• Certifications: BCLS, CPI, and First Aid (CPI/First Aid can be obtained during orientation).
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably Avatar.
