Corporate Immigration SpecialistOur client is in need of an experienced Corporate Immigration Specialist to oversee and manage employment-based immigration programs that support a diverse and expanding workforce. This crucial position acts as the organization's internal expert on U.S. immigration matters, collaborating closely with employees, leadership, external legal counsel, and government agencies to ensure adherence to regulations while providing an exceptional employee experience.This role presents a fantastic opportunity for an immigration professional who excels in a dynamic corporate setting and enjoys juggling intricate case management with strategic business support.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the company's main source of guidance on employment-based immigration issues, offering advice to employees, supervisors, and business executives on visa sponsorship, work authorization, and permanent residency procedures.Handle the entire lifecycle of employment-based immigration cases, including nonimmigrant visa petitions, renewals, amendments, extensions, work authorization applications, and employment-based green card sponsorships.Collaborate with external immigration attorneys to prepare, review, submit, and oversee immigration filings while ensuring the timely completion of all required paperwork.Monitor visa expirations, employment authorization deadlines, travel mandates, and case milestones to maintain continuous work authorization and regulatory conformity.Maintain confidential immigration records and documents in line with company policies, legal mandates, and record retention guidelines.Ensure compliance with federal immigration regulations, such as I-9 requirements, E-Verify, employment eligibility verification, and other relevant immigration statutes.Conduct routine evaluations of immigration files and employment authorization records to pinpoint compliance risks and uphold accurate documentation.Collaborate with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Tax, Global Mobility, and business leadership to facilitate hiring campaigns, employee transfers, and global assignments.Assess immigration strategies and offer recommendations that align with workforce planning, employee retention, and long-term business goals.Create and maintain tracking systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to oversee case status, sponsorship activity, upcoming deadlines, and key compliance metrics.Keep abreast of changes to U.S. immigration laws, government policies, and regulatory mandates, advising leadership on probable business impacts and recommended measures.Prepare employee communications, reference materials, and training resources to educate managers and employees on immigration processes and compliance responsibilities.Support onboarding activities for international employees by ensuring all immigration documentation and employment authorization requirements are completed accurately and on schedule.Constantly identify opportunities to refine immigration processes, improve the employee experience, mitigate compliance risks, and enhance operational efficiency.Act as a trusted advisor while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.QualificationsAt least five years of experience dealing with employment-based immigration matters, ideally as an immigration paralegal in a corporate environment.Thorough understanding of U.S. employment-based immigration laws, encompassing nonimmigrant visas, PERM labor certifications, employment-based permanent residency, work authorization, and I-9 compliance.Experience liaising with immigration lawyers, government entities, and multi-disciplinary corporate teams.Solid organizational, analytical, and case management skills, with the ability to proficiently handle multiple complex immigration cases concurrently.Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities with a strong focus on customer service.Proven capability to manage highly confidential information with prudence and professionalism.Why This Opportunity?This role provides a chance to play a pivotal role in a growing organization where your expertise will directly support talent acquisition, employee mobility, and compliance initiatives.
