Safety Specialist

SAVI EHS is partnering with a respected construction organization to identify a Safety Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This position is ideal for a safety professional who enjoys being in the field, building relationships with operations teams, and driving safe work practices across active construction projects. The selected candidate will support multiple projects nationwide, working directly with field leadership to reinforce safety expectations, coach employees, and promote continuous improvement throughout the organization. Approximately 70% travel is required. $80,000 - $90,000 annual salary Annual discretionary bonus Company vehicle and gas card OR $1,000/month vehicle allowance 401(k) Paid holidays Direct-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential Key Responsibilities Conduct routine field and jobsite visits across multiple locations and regions Reinforce compliance with JHAs, PPE requirements, and pre-task planning Provide real-time coaching and mentorship to field personnel and supervisors Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and field observations Support onboarding efforts to ensure new hires understand and apply safety expectations Assist with incident and near-miss investigations and corrective action follow-up Identify trends, risks, and gaps in field execution and communicate findings to leadership Help maintain consistency in safety training and onboarding programs Support OSHA compliance efforts, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements Assist with contractor compliance platforms such as Avetta and ISNetworld Support implementation and utilization of safety management technology platforms Track and document observations, incidents, corrective actions, and key performance indicators (KPIs) What Success Looks Like Strong field presence and consistent jobsite engagement Improved compliance with safety expectations and work practices Increased reporting of observations and near misses Effective follow-through on corrective actions Consistent onboarding and training execution Accurate documentation and compliance reporting Positive relationships with operations and field personnel Qualifications 3–5+ years of construction safety experience or related field experience Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety best practices Strong communication, leadership, and coaching abilities Ability to work independently with limited supervision Ability and willingness to travel approximately 70% nationwide Valid driver\'s license and acceptable driving record Preferred OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 501 Certification CHST or other professional safety certification First Aid/CPR Certification Experience with safety management systems such as HCSS or similar platforms Experience supporting multiple active construction projects Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Why This Opportunity?
