We provide consultation, treatment, and follow-up care to patients referred to our specialty by the primary care physicians of the Treasure Coast and surrounding communities. As hematology and oncology specialists, we diagnose and treat all types of blood diseases and cancer. We have extensive special training in the treatment of blood disorders and in the entire spectrum of cancer care. Our friendly, empathetic staff will do their best to bring you and your family through your treatment program. We provide individualized, state-of-the-art care which focuses on the global spectrum of therapy and emphasizes the importance of quality of life concerns. We understand the fears and hopes of our patients and their families and pride ourselves on our ability to listen and communicate effectively. We feel very strongly that patients and families should be included in all treatment decisions and should actively participate in the treatment process.
Our practice serves the entire Treasure Coast of Florida with four state-of-the-art offices conveniently located throughout St. Lucie and Martin Counties.
Job Description
Hematology-Oncology Associates of the Treasure Coast (HOATC) has an immediate opening for a Front Desk Receptionist. This individual will manage front-desk traffic in various office locations.
HOATC is a private physician group specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of blood diseases and cancer. This is busy multi-office practice so the ideal candidate must possess the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to understand the fears and hopes of our patients and their families and be able to listen and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities
- Manages sign in sheets
- Schedules appointments
- Takes messages
- Monitors the lobby for cleanliness and patients in distress
- Completes patient check in and check out processes
- Distributes and collects new patient forms
- Verifies HIPAA and Medical Records Release signatures are obtained
- Confirms photo ID, insurance/prescription cards are scanned into system
- Notifies MA/Nurse when patient is ready
- Collects/processes monies due, including outstanding co-pay and patient balances
- Assists with medication refill and patient requests/needs
- Any other duties as needed
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a Medical Office setting
- HS Diploma/GED required
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
- Must be a self-starter and a team player
Position starts at $19 hour with a potential bump after 90 days
$15 per hour
