As a 100% employee-owned company, employees share in the long-term success we build together.With flexible ways of working and meaningful development opportunities, you’ll build a career you can be proud to stand behind.The Opportunity As the Procurement Representative 2, you will have the opportunity to:Provide support to the project team with mildly complex procurement transaction activities (equipment, services and subcontracts), which may expand to more complex projects or assignments on multiple projectsSupport other procurement duties, including expediting, procurement administration, closeout and proposal developmentWork under general supervisionKey ResponsibilitiesPrepares contract documents and bidders listPrepares, issues and supports the bidding processManages the evaluation process through the distribution of quotations, preparation of the commercial portion of the bid tabulation, and collaboration with engineering and construction regarding the technical and constructability evaluations Makes recommendations for selected bidder(s) and who to awardSchedules, coordinates and manages the negotiation process Begins to resolve simple and moderately complex commercial terms and conditions exceptionsManages the award and conforming processMay be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor to support estimating/proposal efforts for a projectProficient in the basic functions of the vendor databaseMay train others in the function of a Procurement Representative, with oversight from SupervisorFiles appropriate record documents and follows Corporate and project filing rules Management ResponsibilitiesIndividual ContributorPreferred QualificationsBA or BS degree in Supply Chain Business, Technical / Engineering, Construction Management or related field (preferred) Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree Preferred Skills:Proficient Attention to DetailProficient Communication - Written and OralProficient Computer Skills - Databases and MS OfficeProficient Contract ComprehensionProficient Data EntryBasic MathematicsProficient Organizational SkillsBasic Problem SolvingBasic Project Process Management Minimum QualificationsMinimum of two (2) years relevant experienceAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Work Environment/Physical DemandsTravel may be requiredHybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.Salary PlanPCR: ProcurementJob Grade013Black & Veatch endeavors to make accessible to any and all users.
