Technical Sales Manager

Continental Materials, Inc., a 68-year young national supplier of roofing and building materials, is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to promote and sell NaturaSeal by CMI products within the Florida market . CMI is a National Leader in the supply of synthetic underlayments, roofing and construction nails, roofing asphalt, fiberboard roof insulation, and modified bitumen membranes. Knowledge and experience with waterproofing, liquid-applied coating, roofing, and air barriers. Intermediate to advanced understanding of existing products in the market and their related chemistries. Good communication skills and a high level of accountability are a must for this position. A highly motivated person will see the benefits of this move. Travel within the Territory is required, overnight travel of about 25% of average month in support of trade shows, customers meetings, and jobsite installations. The ability and drive to grow the distributor, architect, and contractor base within your assigned territory. Provide technical support throughout the sales and installation processes as well as post-install and contractor training. Appropriate physical condition to allow for jobsite visits which may require climbing stairs and/or ladders to access roofs or below-grade installations. The confidence to perform demonstrations of product usage and represent the company in the field, which may require the use of specialized tools a trailer with related equipment. Understand local building codes and participate in the required local associations to promote our brand. Maintain and store required samples and demo equipment. Take part in weekly territory reporting and team calls. Must have a passport. Bilingual (Spanish) speaking capabilities are a plus (not required). Salary: Commensurate with experience.
