In this role, you will be based at the new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility where we support the manufacturing of hydraulic actuators for today’s aircraft. As a Manufacturing Aerospace Technician, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop while pursuing a rewarding career with some of the latest automated manufacturing technologies. Manufacturing Aerospace Technician I: Key Responsibilities Execute Technical Processes: Follow standardized work and execute manufacturing processes across multiple product lines. Maintain process variables and support 5S, safety, daily management, and production flow. Collaborate Across Teams: Work within a flexible, cross-trained team environment to support production goals. Accurately log operations and coordinate effectively across functions. Resolves Issues: Identify and address routine process and production issues using standard methods. Escalate and support problem-solving efforts, including root cause and corrective actions. Ensure Product Quality: Verify product quality through inspection and adherence to specifications, procedures, and standards. Ensure work meets quality requirements and escalate non-conformances as needed. Build People & Process Capability: Participate in training, cross-learning, and continuous improvement efforts. Support development of team capability and contribute to improved processes and standard work. Key Skills Technical Process Knowledge: Demonstrates understanding of manufacturing processes, aerospace drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation to execute work accurately. Mechanical & Tool Proficiency: Applies mechanical aptitude to safely use tools, equipment, and measurement instruments in production environments. Team Communication: Communicates clearly and effectively across team members and functions to support workflow, resolve issues, and align on priorities. Adaptability & Team Contribution: Works effectively in a flexible, cross-trained environment by adapting to changing priorities and contributing to team success, and openly gives and receives feedback from all teams. Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves routine operational issues using structured methods and supports root cause and corrective action activities. Maintain process variables and ensure accurate documentation and production flow. Collaborate Across Teams: Operate in a flexible, cross-trained environment by actively contributing to team decisions, coordinating across functions, and supporting sitewide objectives. Resolve Operational Issues: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine and moderately complex production issues using structured problem-solving methods. Support root cause and corrective actions. Ensure Product Quality: Ensure compliance to quality standards, specifications, and procedures. Maintain accurate documentation and support improvements to work instructions and standardized work. Build People & Process Capability: Support training, cross-training, and mentoring of team members. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and process enhancements. Key Skills Technical Process Application: Applies strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, drawings, GD&T, and documentation to perform work across multiple areas Mechanical & Equipment Proficiency: Demonstrates proficiency using tools, equipment, and measurement systems across processes Cross-Functional Communication: Communicates clearly and collaborates effectively across teams and functions Adaptability & Flexibility: Adapts to changing priorities and supports multiple roles in a cross-trained environment, and openly gives and receives feedback from all teams Structured Problem Solving: Applies troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve production issues Analytical Thinking: Uses data, process understanding, and logic to evaluate problems and support solutions Quality & Documentation Discipline: Maintains accuracy in documentation, standardized work, and quality requirements Attention to Detail: Ensures precision in execution, inspection, and compliance Training & Knowledge Sharing: Supports training and actively contributes to development of others across roles Continuous Improvement Application: Applies lean principles and contributes to process improvement initiatives Successful Candidates Typically Have: Experience performing assembly and testing of fuel system components in an aerospace industry Proficiency in fabrication techniques Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities A&P License preferred Moderate physical activity requires agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds. Note: Some product lines have heavier lifting requirements due to product type. Ability to stand for entire shift. Work is performed in an area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear.
