The Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), is seeking a board certified/eligible, fellowship-trained, academic surgical oncologist. A demonstrated aptitude for multidisciplinary collaboration is critical. Responsibilities will include teaching of medical students and surgery residents, clinical and/or basic research, as well as patient care. The successful applicant will have demonstrated strong clinical capabilities in managing complex gastrointestinal malignancies with experience in Cytoreductive Surgery with Heated Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC). A demonstrated aptitude for multidisciplinary collaboration is critical. Responsibilities will include teaching of medical students and surgery residents, clinical and/or basic research, as well as patient care. Experienced candidates are preferred, but new fellowship graduates with exceptional promise will be considered. Appointment as Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Applicants from communities traditionally underrepresented in medicine are especially encouraged.

Pay Range: $328,800 - $670,900
