Pay & Benefits

• Pay Rate: $53.60/hour

What You'll Do

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients across all ages, including pediatric and adult populations
• Monitor and assess vital signs, manage pain, and address patient needs during recovery phases
• Support patients in all major surgical services with high-volume OR settings
• Float to pediatric PACU as needed, supporting diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Participate in emergency response procedures when assigned to emergency teams
• Document care accurately in Epic electronic health records

What You Need

• Valid ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications
• Prior PACU or Pre/Post Op experience (Critical Care Post-Op background preferred)
• Ability to float between adult and pediatric units
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to be flexible with emergency room assignments if needed

About the Assignment

This role is with a leading healthcare facility in New Orleans, offering a dynamic environment supporting all major surgical and procedural populations, except critical care. You will care for patients in a high-volume surgical setting with extensive pediatric and adult recovery needs, utilizing specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein. Your work will contribute to excellent patient outcomes across 34 ORs on two floors, ensuring safety and comfort in every recovery phase.
