Sterile Processing Technician

$1251.20/week - Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for sterilizing, decontaminating, assembling, and wrapping surgical instruments to ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital standards. This role requires proficiency in handling various types of cases and supporting acute care operations. Responsibilities: Perform sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments. Reprocess scopes and specialized equipment according to protocols. Adhere to infection control and safety standards while handling sterile supplies. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile equipment. Maintain documentation and logs of sterilization cycles and instrument tracking. Assist in managing inventory levels and notifying supervisors of supplies needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing, including sterilization, decontamination, and assembly. Certified in CBSPD and/or HSAP preferred. Demonstrate proficiency in handling neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and gynecological cases. Possess strong knowledge of sterile processing procedures and infection control practices. Ability to work evening shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment. Must hold South Carolina RN license or be eligible to obtain one.
