Sterile Processing TechThe Sterile Processing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of surgical instruments and equipment. This position requires expertise in the following areas:Sterilization processesDecontamination and assembly/wrapping of sterile processing itemsScope reprocessingSchedule: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekendsCall Requirement: On-call duty at least once every two months, from 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM MondayMinimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processingLevel 1 trauma experience requiredExperience in neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, orthopedic, transplant, and GYN cases preferredNational certifications required: CBSPD and/or HSPABLS certification is not requiredLocal candidates accepted on a case-by-case basisAll time-off requests must be provided upon submission; no requests will be approved after the contract is signedGuaranteed hours with a provision for potential adjustmentsType of Facility: Acute CareTrauma Level: Level IIITotal Staffed Beds: 286Scrub Color: Provided by the facilityCharting System: EpicParking: No costTravelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
