Job Summary And Qualifications Accepts responsibility for own actions; offers and accepts constructive criticism in a non – defensive manner. Adheres to hospital attendance and tardiness policy. Appropriately clocks in/out and returns from break and lunch on time. Adheres to schedule and provides coverage in assigned areas. Adaptable to changes in work flow. Adjusts break and lunch times to ensure appropriate department coverage for optimal patient care. Answers phone by 4th ring. Takes messages and transfers calls appropriately. Strictly follows Personal Telephone/Cell Phone Usage policy (916-010). Appropriate use and inventory of reagents and supplies, order supplies when needed. Assists in maintaining general cleanliness and safety of work area to ensures that work area is clean and free of safety hazards. Assists in phlebotomy/collection. Manages STAT collection in timely manner. Correctly and proficiently charts/mails/faxes lab reports to physician mail boxes/offices. Correctly collects, processes/sends, documents and files COC drug screen. Distributes incoming/outgoing mail. Expectations Ethics and Compliance: 1. Print/review/reconcile computer reports and work sheets as assigned. Has no unapproved overtime. Maintains competency in designated work areas. Performs appropriate volume of workload within specific time frames. Completes work from previous shifts and assists others as available or needed.
