Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse (RN) position available in Madison, Wisconsin. Candidates are required to have a valid RN license and must bring their license on the first day. The role entails working in a fast-paced surgical environment with a focus on gynecologic, urological, and transplant surgeries. This is a day/evening shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Certifications and Licenses: RN License, BLS (American Heart Association)
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, 2 years of experience in OR, epic EMR experience, trauma level 2 experience, trauma teaching hospital experience preferred
• Additional Qualifications: Experience with Abdominal/Vaginal hysterectomy, blood and blood products administration, robotic surgery (Da Vinci Xi Surgical System), cystectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate, plus various surgical procedures and protocols.
• Experience: Two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty required.
• Other Requirements: Candidate must have trauma level 2 experience and experience working in a teaching hospital setting. Proof of vaccinations: Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required. Pass/fail telemetry testing with strict passing criteria is mandatory prior to start.
• Travel: Required to float as needed within scope of practice; local candidates not accepted; must be within 50 miles of the facility.

• Special Notes: Transplant experience is a mandatory requirement; candidates lacking this experience should be redirected.
