Senior Physician Assistant Roseville Urgent Care/Emergency (Evening/32)

Location: Roseville, CA 95661 Shift: Evening 32 hours/week

Week 1: Sun 10:00 AM 6:00 PM, Mon, Thu, Fri 12:30 PM 8:30 PM

Week 2: Mon, Tue, Wed 12:00 PM 8:30 PM, Sat 10:00 AM 6:00 PM Employment Type: Full-Time Facility Type: Onsite | Urgent Care | Emergency Department

The Senior Physician Assistant (PA) provides high-quality, efficient, team-based, patient-focused care under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities may include managing patients in office, hospital, ED, or perioperative settings, assisting in surgeries, performing department-specific procedures, and mentoring less experienced Physician Assistant. Evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, review patient history, and compile medical data
• Administer or order diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, ECGs) and interpret results
• Perform therapeutic procedures: injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, infection management
• Develop and implement patient management plans and document progress in EMR
• Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment, preventive care, and post-procedure instructions
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
• First assist in surgeries or perform other department-specific procedures
• Round on inpatients and perform pre- and post-operative evaluations
• Mentor and guide less experienced Physician Assistants
• Collaborate with supervising physician, manager, and department members on performance improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 5 years
• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
• California Physician Assistant License Required at hire
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) Required at hire
• Physician Assistant National Certificate (e.g., NCCPA) Required at hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Additional Requirements:

• Fluoroscopy Permit required or must be obtained within 18 months (Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, Radiation Oncology only)
• Department-specific procedure competency may be required
• Must work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced certification in specialty area (preferred)
• 12 years of Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience as a Physician Assistant
