Senior Accountant

Senior Oil & Gas AccountantWe are seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Accountant to support general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing account activity, and supporting financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle general ledger accounting and journal entriesPerform account reconciliations and assist with month-end closePrepare and review financial statements and reportsAnalyze account activity and investigate variancesMaintain fixed asset and oil & gas property accounting recordsSupport Joint Interest Billing (JIB), revenue accounting, and financial reportingAssist with audit and tax support as neededCollaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve accounting issuesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred7+ years of oil & gas accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP and oil & gas accounting practicesExperience with JIB, revenue accounting, and month-end closeExperience with Wolfepak or similar oil & gas accounting systemsAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlinesSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
