Senior Oil & Gas Accountant

Job Title: Senior Oil & Gas Accountant Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $85000 - $100000 Contractor Work Model: Hybrid Senior Oil & Gas Accountant We are seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Accountant to support general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing account activity, and supporting financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle general ledger accounting and journal entries Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close Prepare and review financial statements and reports Analyze account activity and investigate variances Maintain fixed asset and oil & gas property accounting records Support Joint Interest Billing (JIB), revenue accounting, and financial reporting Assist with audit and tax support as needed Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve accounting issues Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred 7+ years of oil & gas accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and oil & gas accounting practices Experience with JIB, revenue accounting, and month-end closeExperience with Wolfepak or similar oil & gas accounting systems Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
