Senior Billing Specialist | New York, NY (Hybrid - 1 Day/Week)
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Billing Specialist to join its Revenue Management team in New York.
This is an excellent opportunity for a legal billing professional who enjoys managing the full billing lifecycle, partnering closely with attorneys, and working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical billing experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high-volume workload while delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full legal billing lifecycle from prebill review through final invoice submission.
- Review and edit prebills based on attorney revisions and client billing requirements.
- Prepare and process a high volume of complex legal invoices.
- Submit electronic invoices and supporting documentation through e-billing platforms.
- Monitor and resolve invoice rejections, reductions, and appeals.
- Respond to billing inquiries from attorneys and clients.
- Prepare billing reports and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of legal billing experience, preferably within a law firm.
- Experience working directly with attorneys throughout the billing process.
- Strong understanding of legal billing, client billing guidelines, and e-billing platforms.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred.
