Assistant Project Manager – Coordinate Commercial and Industrial Builds with a Growing Industry Leader Job Overview Company: CITY Construction Salary/Pay Rate: $75,000 - $90,000 per year (based on experience) Location: Nashville, TN (Onsite) Job/Employment Type: Full Time Project Scope: Commercial and Industrial Construction Mandatory Licences & Certifications: None Required The Opportunity You will play a pivotal role in driving commercial and industrial construction projects from inception to successful completion. Working within a smaller firm, you will gain a broad range of hands‑on project management experiences rather than being siloed in a single department. Your dedication will directly impact project efficiency, subcontractor synergy, and the overall growth of the company. How You Will Make An Impact Coordinate project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure all milestones are achieved seamlessly. Maintain precise project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and up-to-date field files. Facilitate proactive communication between clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors as a main liaison. Conduct regular site visits to monitor build progress and enforce strict compliance with quality standards. Secure accurate material quotes and prepare purchase orders to streamline the procurement process. Monitor project expenditures and assist in preparing monthly client billing and financial progress reports. Support business growth by participating in networking events and cultivating strong client relationships. Required Qualifications & Experience Willingness to self‑educate on Procore, Planswift Scheduling, and Computer Ease Accounting Software. Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and building codes. Exceptional organizational, communication, and collaborative teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction management or as an assistant project manager. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
