Assistant Project Manager | Learn on $100M projects, not $10M ones

Assistant Project Manager | One project won’t teach you enough You can learn construction one jobsite at a time. Or you can get pulled into multimillion-dollar commercial builds across the country and learn faster than most APMs get the chance to. This is a nationwide travel role for an Assistant Project Manager who wants more than desk support. You’ll work alongside Project Managers, Estimators, and Superintendents on active projects where schedules, submittals, change orders, subcontractors, and closeout details all have to move together. You won’t just watch how projects come together. You’ll help keep them moving. What you'll do: Support estimating efforts, including pre-bid meetings, quantity take-offs, and subcontractor solicitations Help develop and maintain master schedules and short-interval plans Track RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and document control from kickoff through closeout Maintain material status logs, drawing logs, punch lists, and issue trackers Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to keep work progressing Assist with change orders, cost tracking, invoice approvals, and project financial management Review productivity reports and identify opportunities to improve project performance Support project closeout activities, including as-built drawings and final documentation What you get: Nationwide exposure to multimillion-dollar commercial construction projects The opportunity to work alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents who want to teach A fast track to Project Manager responsibilities through hands-on experience across multiple project types and locations Company-supported travel to project sites across the United States The chance to build a project portfolio in a few years that would take much longer in a traditional single-site role Who you are: You're the person who likes bringing order to moving parts. You follow up before anyone asks. You catch details others miss. You enjoy solving problems, balancing priorities, and keeping communication flowing between teams. You have at least two years of construction experience and understand how schedules, documentation, and field execution all connect. You can read plans and specifications, communicate professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, and stay organized in fast-paced environments. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is required. Experience with Primavera is expected, while BIM, Bluebeam, and OSHA 30 certification are a plus.
