Lab Support Technician

Tech Platform Initiative Support Specialist

Payrate: $33.00 - $34.00/hr. This position contributes to the Tech Platform Initiatives by supporting bench build demands and facilitating knowledge transfer to mitigate risk and maintain productivity. The role involves working with cutting-edge Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test systems and collaborating with engineers and technicians to enhance product quality, reliability, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review work orders for harness requests from the engineering team.
• Cut, crimp, and assemble wiring to build harnesses based on engineering requirements.
• Assemble harnesses into HiL benches.
• Interact with the engineering team and lead technician to build harnesses and assemble benches.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of technical experience or a 2-year associate degree in Electronics Technology, Diesel Power Equipment Technology, or a related field.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Relevant internships accepted as job experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pin maps, connector datasheets, and BOMs.
• Experience in building, modifying, repairing, and testing wiring harnesses, connectors, load plates, and I/O panels.
• Proficiency in crimping, soldering, splicing, continuity testing, and cable management.
• Attention to detail.
• Comfortable with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $33.00 - $34.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
