Seasonal Sales Associate - Part Time - Edgartown, MA Job Category: Retail/Outlet - Non-Management Requisition Number: SALES01880 Job Type: Part-Time Locations Showing 1 location MA Retail Edgartown Edgartown, Town of, MA 02539, USA Description Title: Seasonal Part Time Crew Mate (Seasonal Part Time Sales Associate) Department: Retail Reports To: Captain (Store Manager)/First Mate (Assistant Manager)/Second Mate (Management Trainee) Overview Responsible for assisting the management team (Captain, First Mates, and Second Mates) in driving sales through exceptional customer service. Ensures the customer experience, supports our brand promise (“Every Day Should Feel This Good”) and makes service a top priority. Functions & Responsibilities Generate Sales – Responsible for meeting their goals/measures Develop and maintain relationships with top customers Support in-store event sourcing and execution Ensure the store reflects Shep & Ian’s vision of “Every Day Should Feel This Good” through “Hosting the Party” Lead the store in email capture and educate new associates on best practices Ensure the customer wish list is always current, notifying customers when product arrives Assist with training new associates Help foster a welcoming, fun, encouraging and energetic crew and customer environment Help recruit and refer top talent for the store’s teams Support store and team-building activities with the management team Maintain efficient merchandise controls Maintain loss prevention awareness at all times Help maintain a clean and tidy store environment Help maintain merchandising as it pertains to company standards, current compass (floorset), and brand initiatives Contribute to weekly product feedback Requirements Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills Team focused, confident, and professional Creative, adaptable, entrepreneurial and driven by integrity Strong verbal and written skills Ability to perform effective selling techniques to achieve sale and repeat business Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, weekends A passion for making people happy Excited to help recruit, train, motivate, and inspire as a large part of your day-to-day responsibilities Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback Positive outlook Excited to get to know our product inside and out in order to offer style advice and help customers Outgoing, friendly & personable with a positive attitude Customer Service-oriented experience preferred but not necessary Passion for the Vineyard Vines brand Physical Requirements Stand and/or move around for extended periods of time Reach, carry, bend, and climb ladders occasionally Lift up to 40 pounds, unless an accommodation is requested Salary Range: $21.00 - $24.00/hour *Housing not provided on behalf of the organization Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
