VP Global Procurement - R&D

Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and direction for the R&D category. Establish category strategies and drive value with business partners across Regeneron's R&D organization. Design an R&D procurement function that scales with both human capability and technology-driven execution. Lead critical negotiations, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement for the R&D category. Build risk and supply chain resilience into category and sourcing strategies. Apply in-depth knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations within the biopharmaceutical industry. Exhibit role‑model leadership behaviors across the organization. Requirements A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (required); an advanced degree (MBA or similar) and/or a professional procurement certification is strongly preferred. ~20 years of progressive experience in global procurement or category management, including a track record of taking on broader scope, higher‑stakes categories, and larger teams at each career step. Direct experience leading procurement within a multi‑national biopharmaceutical or life sciences organization, with working fluency in the R&D category specifically. A demonstrated record of enterprise‑level influence. Hands‑on ownership of building or substantially re‑engineering a procurement function. Command of complex, high‑value negotiations and supplier relationships, with specific, quantifiable outcomes. Evidence of building supply chain resilience proactively.
