About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: NC or Compact license pending accepted for submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Teamwork approach to patient care - Focus on patient safety - Previous charge experience preferred - NIH certification preferred - Neuro experience preferred - Ability to float as required Description: This is a neuro unit. RTO after booking is not allowed. Call offs or additional RTO could possibly turn into a cancellation. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Local candidates are accepted with a rate difference. Ratios are 1:6. The unit will require staff to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Travelers will float first as necessary. Weekend requirements include 5-6 weekend shifts, equating to every other weekend. Patient diagnoses include general medicine with a focus on neuro. The unit uses Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication. All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty. Candidates must have a teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations in all interactions. Adherence to the call-off policy is strongly enforced. Former employees must wait 12 months before applying. RTO is limited to 7 days max. Candidates must work 2 of 3 major holidays. No RTO can be requested during the first week, and all must be pre-approved. Candidates must be open to floating within the facility as per job description. Travel pairs are allowed if disclosed. References can be pending upon submission. Pre-start modules are non-billable and should be completed prior to starting work.
