AVP - Privacy & Records Management Compliance

The AVP – Privacy & Records Compliance reports to the VP, Strategy, Reporting and Global Programs and supports the administration of Nuveen’s Global Privacy and Global Records Management Programs. The position collaborates closely with Legal, Compliance, Technology, Information Security, and business stakeholders to promote consistent implementation of program requirements across Nuveen. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to operate with the degree of independence expected of an AVP.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Privacy 75%

• Administer assigned day-to-day activities of the Nuveen Global Privacy Program, including ongoing monitoring and support for regulatory examinations, testing, audits, and remediation activities.
• Assist with oversight and maintenance of the Privacy Leads & Privacy Partners program including training programs to support designated program partners.
• Maintain global privacy governance documentation, including Personal Information Inventories, data maps, and related program documentation.
• Support preparation of metrics and other management reporting deliverables.
• Coordinate Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and support privacy reviews for new initiatives and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) use cases, as applicable, and coordinate resulting remediation activities.
• Identify and support opportunities to enhance Privacy Program governance activities, processes, documentation, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
• Coordinate multiple Privacy initiatives simultaneously, exercising independent judgment on routine governance matters and appropriately escalating complex or strategic issues.

Records Management 25%

• Administer assigned activities of the Nuveen Global Records Management Program, including coordination of enterprise records retention and destruction activities.
• Partner with Global Records Controllers and business stakeholders to support consistent implementation of records management requirements.
• Maintain the Enterprise Records Retention Schedule and related governance documentation, and coordinate records certifications, compliance activities, and remediation efforts.
• Develop and maintain Records Management reporting and program metrics and support audits, regulatory examinations, and other oversight activities.
• Support continuous improvement of Records Management processes and governance activities.

Anticipated Posting End Date:

2026-10-15Base Pay Range: $79,000/yr - $135,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
