Job OverviewA law firm seeks an Associate for its Litigation group, focusing on Class Actions, in Chicago, IL. This role is open to candidates across the US, with a preference for those based in the New York metropolitan area. DutiesConduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation. Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including briefs and motions. Manage complex cases from inception to resolution. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies. Participate in high-level legal activities such as trials and negotiations. Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations. Engage in professional development and community involvement. RequirementsMinimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm. Experience with class action defense, including securities, data privacy, or consumer litigation. Experience managing multi-matter dockets. Previous federal clerkship preferred. Strong persuasive legal writing skills. Experience in large-scale discovery. EducationJuris Doctor (JD) CertificationsAdmitted to practice in the jurisdiction of application. SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and good professional judgment. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Excellent organizational skills and persuasive communication.
