R&D Technician I

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a R&D Technician I for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in North Chicago, IL, 60064. Details of the position are as follows:
Job Description:
- Pay: $22.00- 23.00/hr to start.
- 6-month contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
- Monday- Friday, standard day shift, onsite position.
- Position will mainly be responsible for high-output compound transfers and tracking.
- Responsibilities also include documenting all work in Microsoft Excel and receiving and stocking laboratory supplies.
- Position will also be responsible for disposing of laboratory waste products.
- Associates or Bachelors degree is required.
- Laboratory experience, academically or professionally, is required.
- Experience with inventory management is lab supplies, compounds, chemicals, and lab samples is preferred.
- Experience with MS Excel is required.
- Experience handling hazardous chemicals and following Safety Data Sheets is preferred.
- Experience wearing PPE is required.
