Receiving Clerk

Description Essential Responsibilities Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries from vendors and suppliers. Verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips. Inspect products for quality, freshness, damage, and proper packaging. Ensure all perishable products are received at proper temperatures and comply with food safety standards. Check deliveries for damaged boxes, shortages, overages, and other discrepancies before signing for shipments. Maintain accountability for all items received and ensure accurate receiving records. Deliver products from the Receiving Department to designated departments and profit centers throughout the Club. Organize and maintain receiving and storage areas in a clean, safe, and orderly manner. Communicate effectively with vendors, department managers, and fellow team members regarding deliveries and receiving issues. Provide exceptional customer service and interact with members and fellow employees with the highest level of professionalism. Follow all Port Royal Club safety, sanitation, and operational procedures. Requirements Qualifications Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory, food and beverage, or hospitality experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to accurately count and verify inventory. Basic computer and record-keeping skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift. Ability to work in varying temperatures, including coolers and freezers.
