AI/ML Platform Engineer

Salary: $85,000 - 195,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• We require at least 2 years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or a comparable technical field.
• We require experience building production or near-production LLM-enabled or agent-based solutions.
• We require strong Python skills, including familiarity with the scientific and machine learning stack such as PyTorch or similar tools, NumPy, and pandas.
• We require hands-on experience with LangChain and/or LangGraph.
• We require the ability to turn mathematical ideas into clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• We require experience working with containers and running them through Podman or Docker.
• We require strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas and outcomes clearly.
• We require the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance by the start date and ultimately qualify for Secret clearance.
• We require U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a government security clearance investigation.
• Preferred: We prefer a masters or PhD in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related area.
• Preferred: We prefer 4+ years of experience designing and implementing AI/ML methods across diverse datasets.
• Preferred: We prefer proficiency in multiple languages such as MATLAB, C++, Python, and Java on Linux and Windows.
• Preferred: We prefer experience with high-performance computing environments, including GPUs and CPU clusters.
• Preferred: We prefer background in statistical modeling, computer vision, autonomy, deep neural networks, adversarial networks, or optimization.
• Preferred: We prefer experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, DVC, or LakeFS.
• Preferred: We prefer candidates who can obtain Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

• We develop AI/ML solutions by combining software engineering, data science, and machine learning expertise.
• We transform experimental models into scalable, production-ready systems.
• We design and build single-agent and multi-agent applications using modern open-source frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, and similar successors.
• We automate and enhance workflows across enterprise and developer tools.
• We fine-tune large language models for targeted use cases using techniques such as LoRA.
• We prepare training datasets, execute training jobs on shared infrastructure, evaluate outcomes against benchmarks, and transition models to the serving platform.
• We research and prototype machine learning approaches for production tasks.
• We measure model performance, limitations, robustness, and confidence with rigor.
• We work with multiple data types, formats, and structures for training and testing.
• We clean, normalize, and transform data as needed to support model development.
• We create clear visualizations and thorough documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• We collaborate closely with engineers and scientists to solve emerging challenges in regulated and evolving AI environments.
